Translate your profile and CV to another language

Create and manage multiple language versions of your profile and CVs, manually or with automatic translation πŸŒπŸ€–

In Cinode, you can create multiple language versions of your profile and CVs to adapt your content for different markets, customers, or roles. Each language version is managed separately and must be reviewed before it is used or shared.

Cinode now also supports automatic translation when adding a new profile language, using Google Cloud Translation. This helps you get started faster, while still giving you full control over the final content.

πŸŽ₯ Watch the video below to see how to translate your profile step by step and how to work with different language versions in Cinode.

Before you start ⚠️

It is important to understand how translations work in Cinode:

  • Language versions are managed separately.

  • Updating content in one language does not update other languages.

  • All translations, including automatically generated ones, should be reviewed before use.

  • CVs are handled independently from the profile and must be translated separately.

Add a new profile language 🌍

When you add a new language to your profile, you can choose to create it empty or generate an automatic translation based on an existing language, for the whole profile data or one by one for control.

  1. Go to Home β†’ Profile.

  2. Click the plus (+) icon next to the current language flag.

  3. Select the language you want to add.

  4. (Optional) Enable Auto-translate the profile.

  5. Choose the source language for the translation.

  6. Click OK.

If auto-translation is enabled, Cinode generates a translated version of your profile based on the selected source language. (If you do not see this option please contact support@cinode.com or your system owner)

About automatic translation

  • Automatic translation uses Google Cloud Translation.

  • Profile data is sent to Google to perform the translation.

  • The generated content is a starting point and may require adjustments.

  • You are responsible for reviewing and approving all translated content before using it.

Translate and edit your profile content βœοΈπŸ€–

After adding a new language, you can review and update each section of the profile.

  1. Switch to the language you want to work in.

  2. Open a section by clicking the pen icon.

  3. Edit the text manually or use AI assistance to:

    • Translate text

    • Improve wording and clarity

    • Adjust tone or length

Always review AI-generated text before saving.

Translate skills πŸ’‘

When translating skills in your profile:

  • Start typing the translated skill name.

  • Choose from suggested synonyms or alternatives when available.

This helps you align skills with commonly used terms in the selected language.

Translate CVs πŸ“„

CVs are translated separately from the profile.

  1. Open the CV you want to translate.

  2. Switch to the target language.

  3. Edit the content manually or with AI support.

If a CV does not exist in the selected language, you must create a new CV in that language before adding content.

Missing translations ⚠️

If you switch to a language where some content has not yet been translated, a warning is shown. This indicates that the selected language version is incomplete and should be reviewed before use.

Remove a translation πŸ—‘οΈ

To remove a profile language or delete a CV language version:

  1. Click the three dots menu.

  2. Select Remove translation or Delete CV.

🚨 Important:
Removing a profile translation permanently deletes all content in that language.

Good to know πŸ’‘

  1. Translations do not sync automatically between languages.

  2. Automatic translation helps you get started faster, but manual review is always required.

  3. Regularly review all language versions to ensure accuracy and consistency across profiles and CVs.
