In Cinode, skill levels help describe the degree of competence or experience a person has in a particular skill. By default, Cinode uses Kammarkollegiet’s standard skill level definitions, which provide a structured and widely recognised framework.

However, if your organisation uses its own definitions, you can customise these skill level descriptions to better reflect your internal standards and expectations.

Why customise skill levels?

Customising skill levels ensures that:

  • Your organisation’s terminology and definitions are consistently applied.

  • Consultants, employees, and managers share a common understanding of what each skill level means.

  • Evaluations and CVs align with your company’s way of measuring competence.

How to customise skill level definitions

  1. Navigate to Administration

    • Go to Administration > Process > Profile.

    • Open the Skill levels tab.

  2. Add your own description

    • In the text field, enter a description that will be displayed to users when they click the info icon next to a skill level.

    • You can use formatting options (bold, bullet points, etc.) to make the explanation clearer.

  3. Save your changes

    • Click Save to apply your custom definition.

  4. View or reset

    • Select View current definition to review the existing description.

    • Click Reset to default if you want to revert to Kammarkollegiet’s standard definitions.

Notes

  • If you leave the field empty, Cinode will automatically display the default Kammarkollegiet definitions.

  • The custom definition you add will apply across your entire organisation.

Tip: Keep the descriptions clear and concise so users can easily understand how to rate skills consistently.
