Events in Cinode help you track and manage all interactions related to customers, projects, candidates, colleagues, partners, and subcontractors. Tagging colleagues with @ sends notifications directly to their inboxes, and you can quickly schedule follow-ups or export your events list.

Tip: Keep events structured with titles, links, and formatted notes. Use mentions for accountability, and take advantage of Calendar Sync to avoid double-booking.

Event Types

Cinode supports four event types:

  • Call – record any phone calls

  • Meeting – schedule and track in-progress & completed meetings

  • Notification – save important updates or announcements

  • Task – remind yourself of customer-related to‑dos

Accessible via the Events menu or directly from entities like Projects or Contacts using the + Add options.

Adding Events

To a Project

Within a project card, click the three dot menu or open its Events tab, then select Add event. You can also add an event to a project through the project pipe view.

To a Customer or Contact

Navigate to Customers, select a customer, and open the Events tab. Click + Add, then:

  • Choose type, title and date

  • Link to a project or contact if needed

  • Write a description—use @ to mention colleagues

  • Assign a responsible person and set Visibility to Public or Private

  • Set status (e.g. planned, completed)

Use the three dot menu beside each event to Edit, Remove, or View details.

Event Details

When creating or editing an event, you can add the following information:

  • Type: Choose from Call, Meeting, Notification, or Task

  • Title: Give your event a clear name

  • Related to: Link the event to a relevant area (e.g. customer, project)

  • Customer and Contact: Select the associated customer and contact person

  • From and To: Set the start and end time for the event

  • Description: Add details about the event. You can format text and include hyperlinks.

  • @Mentions: Tag a colleague by typing @ and selecting their name from the dropdown — they will receive an email notification.

    • You can also mention both a project and a person using the @ symbol to link the event accordingly.

  • Status: Set the current status (e.g. scheduled, completed)

  • Visibility: Choose Public or Private.

    • Private events are only visible to you and the person marked as Responsible.

    • Only Meetings and Tasks can have a responsible person.

  • Responsible: Assign responsibility to yourself or a colleague (for Meetings and Tasks)

Scheduling Follow‑Ups

After saving an event, click “Add a follow‑up to this event” to automatically open a new event window pre-filled with context from the original. Adjust details as needed and schedule the follow-up.

Using Mentions

Mention features enable smoother collaboration:

  1. Type @ in the description to see a dropdown of colleagues and/or projects

  2. Select a person—an email notification is sent

  3. The mention also makes the event appear in that person’s activity overview

Ideal for assigning responsibilities in tasks and meetings.

Formatting & Links

In the rich-text editor you can:

  • Apply bold/italic formatting

  • Insert hyperlinks

  • Add bulleted or numbered lists

Use these tools to make event descriptions clear and professional.

Calendar Synchronisation 🎯

If your plan supports it, integrate Cinode with Outlook, Exchange, or Gmail:

  • External events appear in Cinode

  • Meetings created in Cinode sync with your external calendar (and vice versa)

  • Invite guests directly from Cinode

  • Events can be linked to existing Customers, Projects, etc.

  • Note: cross‑time‑zone edits display in UTC on some calendar apps

See the Calendar Sync article for setup details.

Exporting Events

To export:

  1. Go to Events from the main menu (or within a specific entity)

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the list

  3. Click the Export button

You’ll get a CSV file with all event data for analysis or reporting.
