This new functionality is part of our ongoing effort to make it easier for managers and team members (users in Cinode) to stay informed about the roles available, as well as upcoming opportunities. 🚀

Note: This is visible to everyone in the organization, but the view varies based on permission level. A more detailed description is provided below.

Why use the Role List?

The Role List provides a simple way to view all roles within your organisation. Whether you're a consultant or a consultant manager looking for open positions or upcoming roles or just want to get a quick snapshot of the overall upcoming roles, this list has it all.

✔️ Transparency – See all roles relevant to your team, ensuring clarity in staffing decisions or for users to find new opportunities and see matching score for a role.

✔️ Overview – A single view that helps you identify gaps, plan allocations, and align resources efficiently.

✔️ Proactive management – Find unfilled roles before they become lost opportunities.

For consultant Managers: The Role List gives a clear overview of all roles, enabling them to match consultants proactively with the right opportunities on time.

For Consultants: The Role List provides a clear overview of available and upcoming assignments, making it easier to find the right next step in their career.

💭 Use case: Consultant Manager’s

Imagine this: It’s Monday morning, and you’re scanning your team’s workload. Some consultants are fully booked, while others have availability creeping up. You don’t want to miss an opportunity, but how do you quickly pinpoint which roles need urgent attention?

The Role List provides a clear overview of all roles in one place, eliminating the need to search across pages. It helps consultant managers take proactive action by filtering open and upcoming roles, ensuring timely matches for consultants.

💭 Use case: Consultant’s

Imagine this: You’ve been in your current assignment for a while, and while it’s been a great experience, you’re starting to feel ready for something new. Maybe you want to take on fresh challenges, explore a different industry, or just find a role that aligns better with your long-term goals. But where do you start?

This is where the Role List empowers you to take control of your career.

The Role List gives you instant access to all available and upcoming roles within your organisation.

You find the list under Projects > Roles:

How does it work?

The Role List is now easily accessible, offering a clear overview of all current roles in one place. Previously scattered across different sections, this information is now streamlined into this list.

  • Open & won roles – Available roles.

  • Upcoming roles – Positions that are opening soon.

  • Role satisfaction – Consultants can rate their roles, giving managers insight into team preferences (Feature Coming soon).

Hidden roles:

  • Past roles are hidden by default but can be filtered to be viewed.

  • Roles with status Lost, Abandoned, or Suspended on projects are not visible in this list.

Visibility of the Role List Based on Permissions

The Role List is accessible to all employees to promote transparency, but the level of detail depends on the user's permission level. Below are the specific limitations for each role:

Manager Permission

Employees with Manager permission can see all roles that are:

  • Assigned

  • Preliminary

  • Unbooked

(coming soon) Additionally, they can view role satisfaction for all employees, helping them make informed decisions about assignments and potential role rotations.

User Permission

Employees with User permission (such as consultants) can only see roles that are:

  • Assigned

  • Unbooked

Consultants continue to have access to the same information. They can see who is assigned to a role but not details like project value, target rate, or margin.

A user can click on a role to see it's matching score and read the description and requirements.

Settings in the Role list

Customise your list based on relevant information. In Settings, you can toggle columns on or off and arrange them by drag and drop.

💡Save a filter for next time for easy navigation

Upcoming Feature 🚀

In addition, this feature will also allow managers to track role satisfaction set by the consultants. Users can indicate whether they are happy with their current consulting assignment or if they wish to rotate. This feedback is visible only to managers, giving them insights into how team members feel about their roles.
