Manually categorising skills in Cinode not only helps you organise your data better, but also contributes to improving the platform for everyone—just like crowdsourcing! By assigning a category to uncategorised skills, you make it easier for yourself and others to find the right skills quickly and accurately.

Why It Matters

  • Improved Searchability: Skills are easier to find and sort by category.

  • Better Reporting: More accurate data helps in skill gap analysis and forecasting.

  • Shared Value: Your contributions help the whole organization and community work smarter.

How to Categorise Skills

Go to the Competences View

  1. From the left-hand navigation menu, click on Reports > Competences.

  2. Make sure you're on the Skills tab.

  3. Use the Category filter and select Uncategorised to view all skills that haven't been assigned a category yet.

Select a Skill to Categorize

  1. In the list of uncategorised skills, locate the skill you'd like to categorize.

  2. Click on "Select category" next to that skill.

Choose the Most Relevant Category

  1. A category selection window will open.

  2. Browse the list and click on the category that best describes the skill. For example, for ".NET Framework", a suitable category could be Techniques.

  3. Click Save to confirm your selection.

Repeat as Needed

  • You can go through as many uncategorised skills as you want and assign categories manually.

  • The more categorised skills there are, the easier it becomes for everyone to search, filter, and understand the data in the platform.

We appreciate your contributions! ⭐️
