Project Planner is an add-on service in Cinode. Contact your CSM or email support@cinode.com for more information.

Why the Project Planner?

The Project Planner is designed to better serve dynamic customer needs and provide greater flexibility in managing project resources.

The Project Planner comes with several key functionalities:

Flexible Time Allocation: It allows for the management of roles that have varying time requirements, helping to adjust consultant workload as project demands shift.

Multiple Consultants, One Role: This feature enables the assignment of several consultants to a single role, allowing for a rotational or phased approach depending on the project phase and skill set required.

What Project Planner Does?

This tool is specifically tailored to accommodate roles that demand variable time commitments β€” where a consultant might need to be allocated 100% at certain times and less at others. It also supports projects that require multiple consultants sharing a single role, ensuring that all customer needs are met efficiently.

Once the function is enabled for your company it can be found in projects under the tab "planner".

Instead of creating different roles for each consultant, you can add the resource needs and add for which period it needs to be allocated to later book consultant during weeks or month.

How to get started with Project Planner

  1. Add period in filter - for how long do we need to plan for this project?

The period will be visible in the view and be applied to the resource needs added.
    (it's editable later)

2. Click on + to start adding resources

  • Add a title.

  • FTE or Hours

  • Week or month

3. After adding the resources needed, you can begin adding the need in FTE or hours that are needed for the role.

Fill in each week or month what is needed by typing in or using the arrows.

4. Book a consultant for the resource, and click on "Plan for a person."

Multiple resources can be managed simultaneously, with various consultants assigned to each. πŸ‘₯
