Subcontractor groups allow you to cluster subcontractors based on shared attributes such as role, location, or a combination of both. For example:

  • By role: Project Managers

  • By location: London

  • By role and location: Project Managers in London

You can also assign a Partner Responsible for each group. This requires the user to have access to the Partner module. How you choose to group subcontractors is entirely flexible.

When are subcontractor groups useful?

Subcontractor groups act as filters in several places across Cinode, including:

  • Announcing roles to subcontractors

  • Planner > Timeline > Subcontractors (overview of subcontractor bookings)

  • Skills Report (to view subcontractor competencies)

  • Resource matching (when roles include subcontractors)

Create a subcontractor group

  1. Go to Network > Subcontractors in the sidebar.

  2. Select Subcontractor groups and click the + button.

  3. Enter a name and description for the group.

  4. Select a Partner Responsible (optional).

  5. Click Save.

Add a subcontractor to a group

  1. Go to Network > Subcontractors in the sidebar.

  2. Select Subcontractor groups and choose the group you want to update.

  3. Click the pen icon next to Subcontractors.

  4. Search for and select the subcontractor.

  5. Click Save.
