When you follow a project or customer in Cinode, you receive email notifications when important updates occur. Following helps you stay informed about progress, responsibilities, bookings, and changes without having to actively monitor lists or details pages.

You can also choose to not follow or to ignore projects and customers, depending on how relevant they are to you. Your follow status can now be used as a filter in both the project list and the customer list, making it easier to focus on what matters most.

How project notifications work

When you follow a project, Cinode sends you an email notification when specific changes occur. These notifications ensure you are aware of updates that may affect your work or responsibilities.

Notifications you receive as a project follower

You will receive an email notification when any of the following changes occur:

  • Project status changes

  • Pipeline changes

  • Pipeline stage changes

  • New event added

  • New event comment added

  • Event date(s) changed

  • Sales responsible(s) added or removed

  • Project responsible(s) added or removed

  • New role added

  • Existing role removed

  • New preliminary or definite booking added

  • Preliminary or definite booking removed

  • Preliminary booking state changed

  • Project creators automatically become followers.

  • Anyone assigned as a project responsible or sales responsible automatically becomes a follower.

Not following a project

When you unfollow a project, you stop receiving notifications.
However, if someone adds you as a project responsible or sales responsible, you will automatically start following the project again.

Ignoring a project

When you ignore a project, you will never automatically become a follower, even if you are added as a project responsible or sales responsible.

How to follow a project

  1. Go to Projects in the sidebar.

  2. Open the overview of the project you want to follow.

  3. Click the eye icon.

  4. Select Following.

Once you have clicked Following, the eye icon turns green.

How to unfollow or ignore a project

  1. Go to Projects in the sidebar.

  2. Open the overview of the project.

  3. Click the green eye icon.

  4. Select Not following or Ignoring.

Filtering projects and customers by follow status

You can now filter both the project list and the customer list based on your follow status. This makes it easier to prioritise work and quickly find the items you are actively monitoring.

Available filter options are:

  • Following – shows projects or customers you actively follow

  • Not following – shows items you do not follow

  • Ignoring – shows items you have chosen to ignore

Use these filters in list views to focus on relevant projects and customers, reduce noise, and keep your workspace organised.
