Below are common issues encountered when setting up or using Entra & SSO. This list is regularly updated.
Object-ID
If the Object-ID has been changed in Entra, this must be adjusted manually in Cinode. This is done at Administration > Integrations.
Password Prompt Appears When Using Entra/SSO
If you're using Entra/SSO and still see a password prompt when attempting to log in, it may indicate that your Cinode user account does not have the necessary roles assigned.
To access Cinode via SSO, your user must be assigned at least one role—such as Restricted User, User, or Manager.
These roles are typically assigned automatically during provisioning by adding your SSO user to the appropriate access groups in Entra. Please check with your administrator to ensure your group memberships are correctly configured.
Adding New Users When Using Google SSO
To add a new user in Cinode when using Google SSO, follow these steps:
Go to Administration > Users and create a new user by entering the name, email address, and a temporary password.
Note: The password can be anything, as it will not be required once the account is linked to Google SSO.
Uncheck the Send welcome email checkbox before saving the user.
After the user has been created, change the Login type to Google by clicking the three dots next to the user in the Administration > Users list and selecting Edit.
Once updated, manually send the welcome email from the three dots next to the user in the Administration > Users list.
