Employee statuses control what an employee can see and do in Cinode. They help you manage access for current, upcoming, and former employees in a clear and secure way.

You can change an employee’s status at any time from Administration > Users, under the Employees tab. Select the three dots next to the employee and choose Edit.

Active

An Active employee is fully part of the organisation in Cinode.

What this means:

  • The employee can see the organisation and company information.

  • They have access to their projects and assignments.

  • They are included in matching for upcoming projects and roles.

When to use this status:

  • For employees who are currently working in the organisation.

Preactive

A Preactive employee is connected to the organisation but has limited access.

What this means:

  • The employee can access the Overview.

  • They can create CVs and update their own profile.

  • They cannot see company information.

  • They can be assigned to roles.

  • They are marked as Joining soon for others in the organisation.

When to use this status:

  • For upcoming employees who have not yet officially started but need to prepare their profile or be planned into roles.

Disconnected

A Disconnected employee no longer has access to Cinode.

What this means:

  • The employee cannot log in or access the company.

  • Their historical data (such as past assignments) remains in the system.

When to use this status:

  • When an employee leaves the organisation and should no longer have access to Cinode.

Using the correct employee status helps ensure the right level of access at every stage of the employee lifecycle.
