Learn what each section in your profile is used for and how to edit the content manually or with AI ๐Ÿค–โœจ

Your Cinode profile is the central place where all your professional information is stored. It is used internally in Cinode and serves as the foundation for all CVs you create. Understanding how each section works helps you keep your profile accurate, searchable, and easy to reuse.

How to open and edit your profile โœ๏ธ๐Ÿค–

To edit your profile:

Go to Home โ†’ Profile in the main menu.
Open the section you want to edit by clicking the pen icon.

You can update your profile at any time, either manually or with the help of AI.

If you do not see the save buttons, no changes have been made.

While editing text fields, you can use Cinodeโ€™s AI tools to:

Improve wording and clarity
Translate content into other languages ๐ŸŒ
Adjust length and tone using Characters

Click Save to update the current CV.
Click Save to manyโ€ฆ to update multiple CVs and/or the profile.

If you only have one CV, the profile and CV mirror each other and you use a single Save button.
If you have multiple CVs, you can choose which CVs to update when saving.

Use the Table of Contents to quickly move between sections ๐Ÿ“‘

Presentation ๐Ÿง โœจ

The Presentation section introduces you to clients and often forms the basis of your CV presentation.

We recommend always writing in the third person.
The text should be client-focused and highlight your strengths and experience.

Use this section to describe:
Your professional background
What motivates you
How you contribute in a work context

First name and surname cannot be edited here. They are linked to your Cinode account and must be updated via account settings or the Administration page.

Note: The personal presentation is not shown in standard CV templates unless your organisation has chosen to display it.

Projects and Assignments/Work experiences ๐Ÿ—‚๏ธ

Add previous assignments and projects using the plus icon, or edit an existing assignment by opening it.

Earlier employment should be summarised as one or several assignments.

For each assignment:
Add a clear description of tasks, responsibilities, and results.
Tag relevant keywords or skills, such as industries, roles, tools, or techniques.

When adding skills, suggestions will appear. Use these when possible.
If a keyword is missing, you can add it manuallyโ€”make sure the spelling is correct.

Important about ordering and visibility โš ๏ธ

Projects in your profile are automatically ordered based on the project dates you provide.

Make sure the dates are accurate to maintain the correct chronological order.

If you update assignment dates, reload the page to see the updated order.

Highlighted projects are only shown in the CV.
In the CV view, you can choose which projects to highlight on the first page by dragging and dropping them.

Skills โญ

This section gathers skills from your assignments.

You can:
Add missing skills using the plus icon
Rate each skill from level 1โ€“5 (definitions are available via the info icon)
Mark favourite skills using the star icon to influence project matching

Skills cannot be manually reordered.

Other skills โž•

Add additional qualifications such as:
Driverโ€™s licence
Military service
First aid or CPR

These skills are shown in the CV but are not included in skill matching or search results.

Creating a CV from your profile ๐Ÿ“„

When you create a new CV, Cinode automatically inserts information from your profile.

You can:
Customise content for a specific opportunity
Show or hide individual sections
Update only the CV or apply changes to selected CVs and the profile.

Translations ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿค–

You can create multiple language versions of your profile.

Add a new language using the plus icon next to your flag.
Translations are added manually, but AI tools can help with translation and text improvement.

If you switch to a language without a translation, you will see a warning.

When translating skills, you can use synonyms to find suitable translations.

Removing a profile or CV ๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ

Use the three dots menu to remove a profile translation or delete a CV.

You can delete an imported profile and re-import if needed.

๐Ÿšจ Important:
Removing a profile permanently deletes all data.

Profile vs CV in Cinode โ€“ whatโ€™s the difference? ๐Ÿง

Your profile is a complete, internal record of your experience, education, certifications, and skills. It is searchable throughout Cinode and can exist in multiple languages.

A CV is a tailored selection of profile data, presented in a company-specific template. We recommend creating multiple CVs for different roles or customers and adapting language and content for each audience.
