When creating your CV in Cinode, it’s important to pay attention to warning signals that may appear during the editing process. These indicate issues such as excessive text, line breaks, or long bullet lists, which can impact the layout and readability of your CV.
Key Guidelines
Presentation Text
Keep an eye on line breaks, long paragraphs, and lengthy bullet lists.
Warning messages will appear in the CV preview (bottom of the first page) if the content takes up too much space.
Highlighted Assignments
Observe the number of characters in each highlighted project.
A red triangle indicates that the content exceeds the space available on the first page.
Project Visibility
Select which assignments and highlighted projects should appear in the final CV.
Why Do I See a Blank Second Page When Exporting?
If your presentation and highlighted projects do not fit on the first page, a blank second page may appear in the exported PDF.
Common Causes:
Excessive line breaks in the presentation section, even if the character count is acceptable.
Too much text in the highlighted assignments, indicated by a red triangle warning.
Note: The full details of your assignments will still be shown on the second page of your CV.
How to Fix It
Go to Resumes in the menu.
Click the three dots next to the relevant CV.
Select Edit content.
Review your presentation. Reduce unnecessary line breaks and merge text where possible.
Click Save.
Scroll to Highlighted Projects and edit the text of each assignment.
Shorten the content until the red warning signal disappears.
Click Save.
Result: Clean formatting, no line break issues, and ready for export.
Why Aren’t My Projects Showing on the First Page?
If your projects aren’t visible in the preview, you may have forgotten to toggle them on.
Green toggle = Visible in the CV
Grey toggle = Hidden in the CV
These settings apply only to the specific CV you’re editing.
There is a limit to how many highlighted projects and skills can be displayed on the first page.
Result: A professional-looking first page with your selected content.
