AI Assistant (Beta)

Update your profile and CVs by chatting with the Cinode AI Assistant.

Written by Ellen Rydberg

Beta: The AI Assistant is currently in beta. Right now, it works with profiles and CVs and can answer questions about how Cinode works. Going forward, it will become available throughout Cinode. Features and behaviour may change as we develop it further, and we would love to hear your feedback.

Use the Cinode AI Assistant to update profiles and CVs by describing what you want in plain language, and to get answers about how Cinode works. The assistant reads the profile and CVs, suggests changes, and only saves them when you confirm.

What is the Cinode AI Assistant?

The Cinode AI Assistant is a chat panel inside Cinode that helps you keep your profile and CVs up to date. Instead of editing each section manually, you tell the AI Assistant what you want to change and it prepares the update for you.

You can, for example, ask the AI Assistant to:

  • Rewrite your profile summary to be shorter or more focused

  • Add or update skills on your profile

  • Improve the description of an assignment on your CV

  • Add skills to a colleague's profile, for example "Add Python to Anna's skills"

  • Answer questions about how Cinode works

  • and much more

Who can use the AI Assistant?

The AI Assistant is available to users in organisations that have the AI Assistant module enabled. If you do not see the AI Assistant, contact your Cinode support.

What can the AI Assistant access?

The AI Assistant follows the same permissions you have in Cinode. It can only see and change information that you can already see and change yourself, and it cannot do anything that your role in Cinode does not allow.

You can also use the AI Assistant on a colleague's profile and CVs, if your role allows you to edit them. Open the colleague's profile page, or name them in your message. Every change the AI Assistant proposes states whose profile it will change, so you can check it before you confirm.

For example, if you do not have permission to edit another user's CV, the AI Assistant cannot edit it for you either. If you need access to more information or actions, contact your Cinode administrator.

How do I use the AI Assistant?

To update your profile or CV with the AI Assistant:

  1. Open the AI Assistant by clicking the icon in the top right corner.

  2. Describe the change you want to make, for example "Make my profile summary shorter".

  3. The AI Assistant suggests how to update your profile or CV based on your request. Since it is an AI suggestion, the result may not always be exactly what you had in mind, so ask the AI Assistant to adjust it if needed.

  4. Click Confirm to save the change to your profile or CV.

If a change could apply to more than one CV, the AI Assistant asks whether it should apply to this CV only or to all your CVs before it shows the proposal. When it updates a CV presentation, it keeps the text within the limits of the CV template. If you ask it to create a copy of a CV, it can open the new copy for you straight away.

The AI Assistant never saves anything without your confirmation. If you do not confirm a proposal, your profile and CVs stay unchanged.

Tip: Be specific about which section or CV you want to change. The more context you give, the better the suggestion.

Can the AI Assistant answer questions about Cinode?

Yes. The AI Assistant can answer questions about how Cinode works by drawing on the articles in the Cinode Help Center. If it cannot answer your question, it shows a Message Cinode support button so you can contact Cinode support directly.

How does the AI Assistant handle my data?

For details on how Cinode processes data with AI, see AI in Cinode.

Limitations during the beta

During the beta, the AI Assistant has these limitations:

  • It can currently read and edit profiles and CVs and answer questions about Cinode. It cannot yet work with other parts of Cinode, such as projects or customers.

  • AI-generated text can contain mistakes. Always review the proposal before you confirm it.
