How to set up the add-on Email sync in Cinode

Email Sync is optional, a paid-for add-on that is only available for users of Business, Partner, or Recruits.

This add-on also includes the following functionalities:


Overview of Email sync

The email synchronization allows Cinode users to synchronize their email provider (e.g. Office365/Outlook/Exchange, Gmail etc), which will enable you to see sent emails between you, the customer and the contact persons in said company.

When enabled, the email sync will let you read and save emails sent between you as the Cinode user and your contact persons at your customers or companies that you are currently prospecting.

The email synchronization will also allow you to save emails you've gotten from customers into Cinode (active choice, per email) so that you can collaborate further and better within your team. Making this add-on a great tool for increasing transparency and collaboration between teams and team members.


Prerequisites & exceptions

You will be able to use Email Sync if you have:

  • a combination of a Business plan and the permission level Manager

  • a combination of a Partner plan and the permission level Partner Manager

  • a combination of a Recruit plan and the permission level Recruiter

or a combination of any of these.

You will not be able to use Email Sync if you:

  • are using Connect with the permission level User only

  • only have Admin permissions and none of the combinations specified above.

  • Subcontractors and candidates will not be able to use calendar sync


How to set up email sync in Cinode

  1. Contact Cinode to get access to the module

  2. Go to "my account"

  3. Click on the tab synced accounts and click on "sync an account"

  4. Type in your email address and log in with your email credentials

  5. Then you need to activate the synced account by toggling on

  6. Check that the status is active


Save emails and read your colleagues saved emails

The emails you see in your inbox in Cinode is only visible to you unless you link them. When you click on the icon up to the right and it's green, it's linked and visible to your colleagues.

In the linked inbox you will see your saved emails as well your colleagues saved emails from that customers contacts.

Approve request to log in

If you get the below message, contact your IT department and follow these steps to approve your account to log in at a third part application:


Import Customer contact from emails

You can import customer contacts from emails. By connecting your email to Cinode and specifying a customer's domain, you can easily import contacts with the "Import Customer Contact" option.

Start by check the settings under "your account and synced accounts" so you have activated the ability to get access to customer contacts.

  1. Click on details to add domain

  2. When added the domain click on "import contacts"

  3. Choose which contacts you want to import.
