The Creditsafe integration brings Creditsafe credit information into Cinode, so you can check a customer's financial health without leaving the customer page. It shows a colour-coded credit rating, company details, company events, and board members, and it monitors the customers you choose for important changes, such as bankruptcy or a payment remark.
The credit information appears in a panel on the customer page in Cinode. Monitoring is controlled with ordinary Cinode tags: add a tag to a customer to start monitoring it in a Creditsafe portfolio, and remove the tag to stop. There is no separate Creditsafe screen to learn.
The Creditsafe integration is configured in Cinode Flows, the integration catalogue built into Cinode. One Cinode company connects to one Creditsafe account.
You need your own Creditsafe agreement for Sweden that includes GetData (company reports) and Integrated Company Monitoring (ICM). Creditsafe provides the credentials and block names you enter during setup.
What the Creditsafe integration does
The Creditsafe integration adds credit information to your customers in Cinode and keeps watch on the customers that matter most. Here is what it does for your team.
Shows credit information on the customer page
The Creditsafe panel on the customer page has four sections: Credit rating, Credit information, Company events, and Board. Use the data type list in the panel to switch between them. The panel looks up the customer in Creditsafe by its registration number (organisationsnummer) in Cinode.
Colours the credit rating by risk level
The credit rating value has a background colour, so you can see the risk level at a glance: green for low risk, amber for medium risk, and red for high risk. No colour means that no rating is available yet.
Monitors selected customers for changes
The Creditsafe integration adds tagged customers to your Creditsafe portfolios and checks Creditsafe for changes every 4 hours by default. Creditsafe decides which changes count as an event, for example bankruptcy, a payment remark, or a rating drop, based on the event settings of each portfolio on the Creditsafe website.
Flags risk on the customer automatically
When a monitoring event arrives, the Creditsafe integration can apply a risk tag to the affected customer, add a note to the customer record, or both. Both options are off by default, and an administrator turns them on in the configuration wizard.
Refreshes data on request
Select Refresh in the panel to fetch the latest Creditsafe data for one customer immediately. Cinode shows a confirmation message when the refresh succeeds.
What the Creditsafe panel shows
The Creditsafe panel has four sections. An administrator chooses which sections appear and, for Credit information, which individual fields appear. By default, all sections and fields are visible. The table below lists each section and what it contains.
Section | What it shows |
Credit rating | The Creditsafe rating score with its risk colour, a description of the risk level, and the credit limit. |
Credit information | Company details, for example address, status, industry, number of employees, and turnover. Turnover is shown as a range, not an exact figure, for example "100 000 - 499 999 tkr" (tkr means thousand SEK). |
Company events | A history of rating changes over time, with the oldest change at the bottom. Monitoring alerts are not shown here; they arrive as a tag or a note on the customer instead. |
Board | Board members and their positions, in Swedish, for example Ordförande (chairman), Ledamot (board member), and VD (managing director). The company's auditor, labelled Revisor, is also listed here. |
Use the search box to filter rows in the Credit information, Company events, and Board sections. The search box is not available in the Credit rating section.
How fresh the data is
The Creditsafe integration caches each report, so the panel can show data up to 7 days old by default. An administrator can change this number of days. The cached report is updated in four ways:
Automatically, the next time someone opens the panel after the cached report expires.
In the background, on a weekly schedule (Mondays at 03:00 by default).
Immediately, when someone selects Refresh in the panel.
When monitoring detects a real change in Creditsafe. The cached report is marked as out of date, and fresh data is fetched the next time someone opens the panel.
How monitoring works
Monitoring in the Creditsafe integration is driven by Creditsafe portfolios and Cinode tags. Your Creditsafe portfolios are the source of truth: each portfolio on the Creditsafe website becomes one Cinode tag, and tagging a customer adds it to that portfolio.
Portfolios become tags
After the first Portfolio Sync, Cinode has one tag for each Creditsafe portfolio, grouped under a tag type (named Creditsafe by default). Portfolios are created, renamed, and deleted on the Creditsafe website only. You cannot manage portfolios from Cinode.
Start or stop monitoring a customer
To start monitoring a customer with the Creditsafe integration:
Open the customer record in Cinode.
Apply the existing tag that matches the Creditsafe portfolio name.
Wait for the next Portfolio Sync, which runs daily at 02:00 by default. The customer is then added to the Creditsafe portfolio.
To stop monitoring a customer, remove the tag. The customer is removed from the Creditsafe portfolio on the next Portfolio Sync.
Important: Always use the existing tag under the Creditsafe tag type. Do not create a new tag with the portfolio's name yourself, because a tag you create is not linked to the tag type and does not start monitoring.
Companies added on the Creditsafe website
The Creditsafe integration only removes a company from a portfolio if the integration added that company itself. A company that someone added directly on the Creditsafe website stays in the portfolio, even if no Cinode customer has a matching tag. Risk tags and notes are also only applied to customers that the integration added through a Cinode tag.
What happens when an event fires
The Creditsafe integration checks Creditsafe for changes on a schedule, every 4 hours by default. When a monitored customer has a change, the integration marks its cached report as out of date and, depending on your settings:
Write Back Risk Tag — applies a risk tag to the customer. The tag is named riskkund by default, and you can change the name.
Log Event as Note — adds a note to the customer record describing the event.
Why your team needs it
Selling to, or delivering for, a customer in financial trouble is a risk that is easy to miss when credit checks depend on someone remembering to look. The Creditsafe integration puts that check where your team already works.
Credit information in context. The rating, risk colour, and company details sit on the customer page, not in a separate system.
Risk is visible at a glance. Green, amber, and red make it obvious which customers need a closer look.
Changes come to you. Monitoring flags bankruptcies, payment remarks, and rating drops on the customer record automatically.
Control with tags. Starting and stopping monitoring is as simple as adding or removing a tag.
No manual lookups. Nobody has to copy registration numbers into the Creditsafe website to check a customer.
Secure and private by design
The Creditsafe integration handles company credit data, so it is built to keep that data and your Creditsafe account protected.
Your own Creditsafe account. The integration uses the credentials and block names Creditsafe issues to your company, and they are stored in the integration's connection, not in Cinode records.
No letter of disclosure for individuals. Detailed credit information is only fetched for limited companies (aktiebolag). Other company forms, such as sole traders and partnerships, get basic information only, so viewing them in Cinode does not trigger a letter of disclosure (omfrågekopia) from Creditsafe.
Your portfolios are respected. The integration never removes a company from a portfolio unless the integration added it.
Setup, in brief
Setup of the Creditsafe integration happens in the Cinode Flows configuration wizard, which walks the administrator through each page. Configuring an integration in Cinode Flows requires the Admin and Flows permissions. See Cinode Flows for how the wizard works.
Get your details from Creditsafe. Ask Creditsafe for your username and password for Sweden, your two GetData block names (basic and credit), access to Integrated Company Monitoring, and create at least one portfolio on the Creditsafe website. The username must have 20 characters or fewer, so ask for the short login form, not your email address.
Connect Cinode. Authorize Cinode when the wizard prompts you.
Connect Creditsafe. Enter your username, password, and both block names. Leave the three URL fields at their default values unless Creditsafe tells you otherwise.
Choose your settings. Step through the four configuration pages, described below.
Register the panel. The Creditsafe panel must be registered as a UI extension for your Cinode company. Contact Cinode support for help with this step.
Important: Each Creditsafe customer gets a unique pair of block names, for example ACME_C_BASIC and ACME_C_CREDIT. If you enter block names that belong to another company, the panel shows only the company name and registration number, without an error message. If you are not sure of your block names, contact Creditsafe.
Configuration pages
The Creditsafe configuration wizard has four settings pages. The table below lists each page and what you set there.
Page | What you set |
Portfolios | The Cinode tag type that mirrors your Creditsafe portfolios. The default is Creditsafe. |
Panel Display | Which sections appear in the panel, and which fields appear under Credit information. All are visible by default. |
Monitoring | Write Back Risk Tag (off by default), Risk Tag Name (riskkund by default), and Log Event as Note (off by default). |
Schedules | Portfolio Sync (daily at 02:00 by default), Monitoring Poll (every 4 hours by default), Cache Refresh (Mondays at 03:00 by default), and Cache TTL, the number of days a cached report stays valid (7 by default). |
Once setup is done, the Creditsafe integration runs a first Portfolio Sync and warms the report cache, so the panel and the portfolio tags are ready to use.
Known limitations
The Creditsafe integration has the following known limitations:
Swedish companies only. The customer must have a Swedish registration number (organisationsnummer) in Cinode.
Credit rating for limited companies only. The Credit rating section is only filled for aktiebolag. Other company forms show basic company information only.
Monitoring is not instant. Changes are picked up on the Monitoring Poll schedule, every 4 hours by default.
Report text is in Swedish. Field values and event descriptions come from Creditsafe in Swedish only.
Portfolios are managed in Creditsafe. You cannot create, rename, or delete a portfolio from Cinode. If you rename a portfolio on the Creditsafe website, remove the old tag and apply the tag with the new name to every affected customer.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the panel show only the company name and registration number?
The Creditsafe panel falls back to the company name and registration number when it cannot fetch a full report. The most common cause is a wrong username, password, or block name on the Creditsafe connection. Check all four fields in the configuration wizard, and confirm with Creditsafe that the block names belong to your company.
Why is there no credit rating for a customer?
The credit rating is only available for limited companies (aktiebolag). Sole traders, partnerships, and other company forms show basic company information only. A rating can also be missing if Creditsafe has not yet rated the company.
Why are there no tags under the Creditsafe tag type?
The Creditsafe tags are created from your portfolios on the Creditsafe website. If no tags appear after setup, no portfolio exists yet. Create at least one portfolio on the Creditsafe website and wait for the next Portfolio Sync.
Why does Refresh show an error?
Refresh fails when the customer has no registration number in Cinode, because the Creditsafe integration looks up the company by that number. Add the registration number to the customer record and select Refresh again.
Why did a monitoring event not tag the customer?
Risk tags and notes are only applied when Write Back Risk Tag or Log Event as Note is turned on, and only for customers that the Creditsafe integration added to the portfolio through a Cinode tag. Companies added directly on the Creditsafe website are monitored by Creditsafe but are not tagged in Cinode.
Where do I see monitoring alerts such as bankruptcy?
Monitoring alerts appear as a risk tag or a note on the customer record, when your administrator has turned those settings on. The Company events section in the panel shows rating history, not monitoring alerts.
